Workforce Development/ Training/Job Placement Assistance

The RBCA Foundation (RBCAF) short term Construction and Workforce Training program is designed to prepare participants for gainful employment. RBCAF work closely with the RBCA Members/Industry Partners to hire qualified talent for employment and receives referrals from Workforce Solutions Greater Dallas, City Square and Community/Faith-based organizations.

The training is scheduled based on the employment demands/trends and industry standard certificates/certifications when needed. Areas of focus will include:

  • OSHA 10 & 30
  • Demolition Clean-up
  • Demolition Equipment
  • General Construction Clean-up
  • Introduction to Carpentry
  • Construction Math Competency
  • Concrete, Rebar & Landscaping
  • Framing
  • Form Setting
  • Workforce Development Training (Soft Skills)

The training programs evolve depending on the needs of our Members, Industry Partners, and employers. Each training course is facilitated by the Dallas County Community College District (Cedar Valley College) and Instructor lead by highly qualified trained professionals with working industry knowledge. This will allow RBCAF to have a talent pool ready to be referred for employment opportunities that lead to productive completion of projects and self-reliance. 

Reentry/Offender Program & Jobs (Second Chance Initiative)

The goal of the RBCAF is to empower criminal justice involved individuals and others with workforce development services, job placement assistance, short term construction training and wrap around services that will lead to self-reliance.  Our goal is work with Faith/Community-based organizations that refer unemployed/under-employed criminal justice involved individuals and others for workforce services.   RBCA conceptual ideology is to decrease recidivism, increase the tax-base among previous/current criminal justice-involved individuals and provide economic development within their perspective communities through gainful employment.   As the demand for construction workers increase, the RBCA Foundation has position itself, through its Industry Partners, RBCA members and partnering employers, to refer vetted and qualified talent for employment opportunities in these areas:

  • Construction (Specialty occupations)

  • Heavy Equipment Operators
  • Landscapers
  • Warehouse Workers
  • General Laborers

These jobs typically pay wages from $12.00 to $18.00 per hour or more depending on the required skill set. Day labor and short term outsourcing opportunities are sometimes available.
